Payment Terms

Version 2026-07-15

1. What this covers

These terms govern the built-in payments feature: taking card payments in web apps hosted through SayPeter, powered by Stripe Connect. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service. You accept them on the dashboard before your payment account is created, and again if they materially change.

2. How it works

  • SayPeter creates a Stripe connected account for you. Stripe verifies your identity (KYC) and handles all payout, banking, and compliance infrastructure.
  • Payments made by your customers are charged directly on your connected account. Payouts go to your own bank account on Stripe's payout schedule — SayPeter never holds your money.
  • By onboarding you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.

3. Fees

  • SayPeter charges a platform fee of 5.0% of each payment (including recurring subscription charges) taken through the built-in payments feature.
  • Stripe's standard processing fees apply on top and are charged to you as the merchant, per Stripe's published pricing.
  • The platform fee is deducted automatically at the time of each charge. If you refund a customer, the platform fee for that charge is not returned.
  • We may change the platform fee. A fee increase never applies retroactively: you will be asked to review and accept the new fee before your apps can take new payments at the higher rate.

4. Your responsibilities

You are the merchant of record for everything your apps sell. That means you are responsible for:

  • The products and services you sell, their delivery, and their legality.
  • Refunds, chargebacks and disputes, managed from your Stripe dashboard. Dispute fees charged by Stripe are yours.
  • Taxes on your sales (VAT/sales tax), invoicing your customers where required, and your own terms of sale.
  • Complying with Stripe's prohibited and restricted business rules.

5. Suspension and closure

Stripe may restrict or disable your connected account if verification requirements are outstanding or its rules are violated; while restricted, your apps cannot take new payments. If you close your SayPeter account, we close the connected account — funds already collected remain yours and pay out per Stripe's schedule.
